It is that time of year that makes us appreciate what we have and hopefully empathize with those less fortunate than ourselves. With the economy being as it is, it is even more crucial now that those of us who have, share with those who have not as that number is rising.
So I would like to encourage all of my readers to donate to a great cause, The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts. The Food Bank of Western Mass services over 400 member agencies; shelters, soup kitchens, childcare centers, elder programs and other programs for food assistance. It is stated that 1 in 10 people in the Unites States do not have enough food to eat. So if you can imagine the number of people in your community, town, etc...and compute that 1 in 10 do not have enough food for themselves and their families, that number can get awfully high.
Besides feeding the hungry, the Food Bank of Western Mass has a food co-op that allows the people within the community to buy "shares" during the agriculture season. This encourages more local farming and less food having to come from far away, which is taxing on the environment. To read more about this program,

Yours in good health,
